Hire Desk Controller

  • Are you organized, customerfocused, and thrive in a fastpaced environment? We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Hire Desk Controller. This is a fulltime position based in Falkirk, with a standard working week of 45 hours.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage the hire desk operations, including taking incoming customer calls and inquiries, providing product information, and assisting with bookings.
  • Coordinate and schedule equipment rentals, ensuring availability, and maintaining an accurate booking system.
  • Prepare rental contracts, including terms and conditions, pricing details, and customer information.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely delivery and collection of equipment.
  • Monitor rental periods and communicate with customers regarding extensions, returns, and any related issues.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional and efficient manner, working towards satisfactory resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, invoices, and customer interactions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience throughout the hire process.
  • Keep uptodate with industry trends, product knowledge, and pricing to effectively assist customers.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the hire or rental industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with booking systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • A proactive and solutionoriented approach to problemsolving.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings, as required.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus scheme
