Data Manager - Pricing, Trading & Analytics

Hybrid, 1 -2 days in the office, Main hubs are Cardiff, Leeds, Chester, London, Bristol or Edinburgh

To £60,000 (dol)+ flex, bonus (to 30%), pension (to 15%), healthcare, shares etc


The Homes Pricing, Trading & Analytics team is responsible for the management and pricing of over £70bn of mortgages each year.

We're looking to recruit an experienced Data Manager with a track record of driving improvements in commercially orientated reporting,analysis and insight capabilities.

The role will involve supporting a team of Reporting, Forecasting and Pricing Managers through the development and maintenance of reporting, pricing and forecasting tools, as well as supporting with ad hoc analysis requests and process improvements.

The job.

  • Lead on the development and maintenance of a suite of EUCs in Excel and Power BI to meet the needs of Senior partners
  • Proactively look to automate, simplify and continuously improve the suite of reporting and forecasting tools
  • Provide accurate and robust data and reporting to support business decisions and performance monitoring
  • Manage your own workload to ensure timelines are delivered upon, and prioritise the work of others in the team appropriately
  • Build and maintain knowledge of the Mortgage business and priorities
  • Develop and maintain appropriate controls and procedures to ensure compliance with group standards and best practices
What we're looking for.

  • Highly experienced in model/report development, simplification and optimisation using a wide range of analytical tools
  • Experienced with Data Visualisation and Management Reporting
  • Advanced understanding of Excel with ability to deconstruct and document models, processes and data flows.
  • Selfmotivated and able to effectively prioritise workload
  • Analytical thinking with a structured approach to problem solving
  • Experience with a range of analytical tools including Excel (necessity), Power Query, SQL, SAS and VBA preferable
  • Experience of working in an MI or analytical role within Financial Services is desirable
