Description

Foundation Coach
We are looking to add to our engaging and creative team of staff with this exciting and challenging role.

You will be a key member of the team and will work closely with the Head of Foundation and other foundation staff members.

You will spend your time in primary schools and community settings across Coventry, Warwickshire & Leicestershire delivering a number of different initiatives.

These will vary between sport, education, engagement and community work such as Food Banks, Care Homes and Youth Work.

We are looking for someone who is engaging & proactive with their work and ideas, compassionate when working with all members of the community and someone who is inclusive and works efficiently when safeguarding our young people & community members.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Effectively plan, deliver, and review sessions across different projects.
  • Create unique activities and session plans that are engaging and beneficial.
  • Meet deadlines for reviews and pupil reports for The Positive Impact Foundation or partnering schools or organisations.
  • Be able to display patience and empathy when working with disengaged pupils, whilst using effective behaviour management methods.
  • Work efficiently with other foundation staff.
  • Build good relationships with colleagues, pupils, and all partners of The Positive Impact Foundation.
  • Be able to contribute new ideas to The Positive Impact Foundation.
  • Deliver on various projects within The Positive Impact Foundation, including educational programmes and community based projects working with vulnerable.
  • Complete any extra tasks on behalf of the Positive Impact Foundation.

Person Specification

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

Essential (E)
Relevant Qualification (Level 2 minimum)

Able to work with children & young people with learning disabilities

Be able to manage challenging and inappropriate behaviour effectively

Able to demonstrate employability behaviours

Experience in supporting young people on a one-to-one or group basis

Recognises different needs, expectations & challenges when working within the community

Works to the highest standards whilst under pressure and retains professional focus and behaviour

Demonstrates commitment to own self development

Hold a full valid UK driving license and have access to own car


Desirable (D)
Up to date DBS, Safeguarding and First Aid Certificates

A recognised community based or tutoring qualification (Level 3)

Holds a relevant sport or coaching qualification

This post is full time 37.5 hours per week.


Please note this role will cover Coventry, Warwickshire and Leicestershire and will require reasonable travel through all 3 counties within reason.

Salary:
£21,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
