This is a Hackney Education maintained nursery school located in Hoxton.

They are committed to promoting equality and inclusion for all the children and our families come from a richly diverse local community.

Offering places for part-time and 30 hour places for children aged 3-4 years old and places for 2 years olds who are eligible for free childcare.

The nursery offers places to children with additional needs and support is provided through our dedicated SENDCO and learning support team.

They have retained their Outstanding status from Ofsted in December 2018, we are very proud of our achievements and this grading supports our belief that we offer children an excellent start to their education.

The children use the garden throughout the sessions and are free to move independently between the indoor and outdoor areas.

The outdoor area has opportunities for a wide range of activities and experiences which provide challenging opportunities for exploration and the development of physical skills.

The main responsibilities of this job role will include:

Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns
whilst having fun.
Taking part in First Aid training as required

Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children:

Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery
Working towards
Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
Supporting children's learning and development.
Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
Supporting the children through meal times.

Being creative and enthusiastic.

Supporting children's selfhelp needs.
Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
Following Safeguarding rules and regulations.

MUST HAVE A GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths AND English

A basic understanding of Early years education and caring for younger years
Some experience working with children whether that is personal experience or professional
Ideally will have some health and social care experience or nursery experience
