Housing Services Officer

12 months fixed term contract, Secondment opportunity
This post will be based in Link's Falkirk Office

The Role

Working as part of an area team our Housing Services Officers are responsible for providing the full range of housing and tenancy management services to our customers with a strong focus on a professional and person centred approach.

The role brings the opportunity to make a difference for customers every day, meeting tenants face to face, in the communities where they live.

You will be responsible for the customer journey from allocation through tenancy sign up, tenancy management, ensuring rent is paid and tenancies are sustained.

You will work with our Asset Officers and in-house Contractor in the delivery of effective repairs to customers as well as ensure effective management of our neighbourhoods across our areas of operation.

This includes dealing with the issue of anti social behaviour and influencing investment in our stock,
Link have an extensive new build programme and our social rent portfolio continues to grow.

Based in Falkirk, a significant proportion of work will be undertaken out-with the office, post holders must have a current driver's licence and have access to a car for business use.


About You
You should be committed to delivering excellent standards of service and customer care and able to demonstrate knowledge of the social housing sector

It is essential that you have experience in the delivery of the full range of housing services including void management, allocations through choice based lettings, management of rent debt/arrears controls, as well as understanding current housing legislation relating to tenancy management including antisocial behaviour.

The role includes partnership working with a range of statutory and third sector agencies and supporting tenant engagement activities.
