Porter/House Security

We are looking to recruit a Porter to join our team at Burghley House.

Duties will include:

General security duties whilst open to the public and during evening events
Unlocking the House and Park in the morning and relocking at night.
Management of the fire and intruder alarm systems and reacting to any activations. Member of the fire salvage team.
Assisting visitors to the House with any enquiries they may have and helping visitors with limited mobility to use the chairlifts.
General assistance to set up events in the House.
Ensuring a high standard of presentation of the House and visitor areas.
Delivery of the internal post to the Estate Office on a daily basis.
Minor maintenance tasks as directed
General tasks as instructed by the House Director or House Manager.
Additional hours (overtime paid) for evening functions and events where required.

Days/hours:

Rota system based on:
5 days (6.30 am to 2.00pm) followed by 2 days off

5 days (2.00pm to 9.00pm) followed by 3 days off
