The Neurology Academy (NA) is an innovative education provider for clinicians, specialist nurses and professions allied to medicine. The training programmes focus on both disease management and service transformation.Neurology Academy is an umbrella company with a number of Academies which deliver education under their own respective condition or profession areas.
Each priority profession or condition is led by an Academic Faculty of practicing clinicians who operate with their respective specialist Academies.
Job description:
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the OEM in supporting the overall strategy to meet NA objectives;
- Responsible for the smooth running of a range of in person, hybrid and virtual educational events, including involvement in all elements of endtoend event organisation (speaker, sponsor, delegate, staff and venue liaison);
- Ensuring that the physical and virtual offices are kept in an organised, clean and tidy manner;
- Prioritising conflicting needs and handling matters expeditiously and proactively;
- Followingup on projects to successful completion, observing required deadlines;
- Performing all other tasks and assignments entrusted to them by the OEM.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in events;
- Office experience is also preferred;
- An independent selfstarter, with excellent organisational skills;
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills;
- Strong understanding of Google Drive (incl. Google Documents, Sheets and Forms), Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Experience using Zoom and ideally Zoom webinars;
- Proficiency in English, knowledge of other European languages would be an asset;
- Knowledge of HubSpot would be beneficial;
- Knowledge of the NHS would be an asset;
- A Problemsolver with a flexible attitude being resourceful, resultoriented, and proactive;
- Will demonstrate proven exceptional time management skills and ability to multitask when under pressure;
- Available to travel including overnight stays;
- Willing to take on extra learning to broaden knowledge and understanding where appropriate
- Being a positive, constructive, trustworthy, supportive and flexible member of the NA Team and acting with discretion.
- Holder of UK driving licence and access to a car
Location:
Sheffield
This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 16:30, with some flexibility and travel required.
Out of hours work also arises on a periodical basis, particularly during the time of event delivery and overnight stays will be required (most frequently in Sheffield, but occasionally further afield).
