Are you ready to take your career to the next level in a dynamic and innovative environment? UKAEA is seeking a Strategic People Business Partner to join their team of experts in shaping the future of nuclear fusion energy.

UKAEA is at the forefront of research into nuclear fusion, the clean and sustainable energy source of the future.

As a Strategic People Business Partner, you will play a vital role in supporting their mission by partnering with directors, senior leaders, and key stakeholders to drive their people agenda forward.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement people plans and solutions aligned with departmental priorities.
  • Provide expert advice on people management and development, leveraging the resources of the People Department.
  • Support change management, organizational design, and development projects.
  • Proactively identify and address key people issues, including resourcing and capability, within your designated departments/programs.
  • Act as a member of the Senior Management Team, ensuring effective communication and alignment of people strategies.
  • Utilize datadriven insights to inform decisionmaking and present solutions to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Navigate a unionized environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, and academic institutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degreelevel education or equivalent experience.
  • CIPD Qualified to L7 (Diploma) is desirable
  • Extensive experience in strategic business partnering within complex environments.
  • Proficiency in advising on EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion), Pay and Reward, Organizational Development and Design (OD&D), Employee Relations (ER), and Learning and Development (L&D).
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with a focus on coaching and developing others.
  • Ability to challenge robustly and communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Creative problemsolving skills to support organizational goals.
  • Comfortable using data sets to establish trends and inform strategic decisions.
