Denholm are excited to be partnering with an international trading house born out of a passion for whisky.

Active in the whisky sector for two decades and pioneers in developing whisky as an investment product, this is an exciting time for the business asthey make a significant multi-million pound investment in Fife including extensive warehousing and bottling facilities.

What you'll be doing

  • Day to day warehouse operations management and maintenance of businesses own and contract production
  • Management of all warehouse and production processes of single malt Whisky. Reductions, Bottling, Cask Filling and Storage.
  • Using Internal systems to control and manage the stocks
  • Working to tight deadlines for spirit bottling
  • Flexibility from one day to the next to change production
  • Maintaining continuous production in varying conditions
  • Planning of all warehouse schedules, workload, and itineraries in production
  • Delivery coordination and management of goods from warehouse for own production
  • Spirit receiving, handling and preparation for transport.
  • Stock control of raw materials and consumables (including ordering)
  • Managing the routine maintenance necessary for the day to day running of the production plant including (but not limited to) changing filters, bottling line maintenance and other plant.
  • Management of all staff areas in production and the production spaces
  • Recording of all spirit produced and delivered on site and submission to HMRC.
  • Inventory tracking across multiple sites including dry goods, botanicals, chemicals, wood, spirit, etc
  • Waste Management
  • HMRC compliance
  • H&S compliance

Who we're looking for:

  • An Operations Manager with experience in warehouse and bottling operations.
  • Strong people manager with experience training and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Leads by example and sets standards.
  • Focuses on delivery of an outcome.
  • Operates in a structured and logical manner.
  • Adopts a collaborative approach in resolving business problems.
  • Ability to make and take accountability for decisions made.
