This role will give you the chance to play a key role on ground-breaking and high-profile defence projects with values in the hundreds of millions.
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed and appropriately skilled paint sprayer to work within our Aerospace Manufacturing facility.
The successful applicant will be a proactive, motivated painter, and will have the opportunity to work on leading-edge, high-value products for our demanding, world-class customers.
You will need to work well in a team environment, have a flexible approach and a desire to learn new processes and meet strict delivery schedules, whilst working to exacting quality standards.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working to a schedule of work to meet on-time delivery and to the required quality requirements. Painting Aerospace metallic and composite manufactured parts, including sub-assemblies.
- Application of paints to be applied in accordance with internal & external NADCAP & OEM approvals.
- The successful applicant will also be required to cover chemical processes and heat treatment activities but training will be given.
- Shift working may be a requirement.
Qualifications:
- Apprenticeship, including NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds or equivalent training.
- The ability to accurately follow detailed engineering drawings, work instructions and specifications Demonstrate a commitment to the highest standards of quality at work Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Desirable:
- Understanding of NADCAP, Boeing and Lockheed Martin engineering requirements would be an advantage, but training will be given to the successful applicant.
- Preferably worked within an organization that practised continuous improvement.
