Description
British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is looking for an outstanding Change Officer to join our diverse Estates team. BAS delivers and enables world-leading interdisciplinary research in the Polar Regions. We employ experts from many different professions to carry out our Science as well as keep the lights on, feed the research and support teams and keep everyone safe

You will work closely with the Communications team to help engagement across all BAS Staff being a key point contact in communicating change and transformation across the BAS Cambridge Estate.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Act as the first point of contact for feedback/complaints on transformation activity on the BAS Cambridge estate. Respond to enquiries in a timely manner and professionally.
- Collaborate with the BAS Communications and Strategy teams to understand their existing systems to develop a communication strategy for the Cambridge Estates and Facilities team; this will support transformations striving to reduce carbon emissions across the site. This should complement existing lines of communication of BAS, NERC and UKRI and use earned/partner channels wherever possible
- Lead on managing communication associated with change on site. Work with collaborators and staff groups to advise on approach, content, and timelines; ultimately reducing the risk of negative impacts associated with the transformation on site and helping to build support for netzero transformations.
Current projects the team are working on include a site wide plan for decarbonisation of the BAS Cambridge Estate for our Net Zero targets, new Laboratories for various scientific fields, decarbonisation of the BAS Kitchen, and Long Term Maintenance projects to keep the Estate to a good and workable standard for staff

- Can produce written content for different audiences and channels (including intranets and newsletters)
- Has proven experience of handling change activity within an organization.
