We are looking for an experienced
Nutrition and Scientific Affairs professional on a
6-month fixed-term contract to join our Global Nutrition team to lead specific multi-functional projects to deliver our strategy on FOP claims and innovation and to support our growth ambition.
If you are an experienced nutrition scientist with expertise in devising and/or executing strategies for communication of research, within the Regulatory parameters and have a passion for the translation of nuanced science for the benefit of consumers, then this could well be the perfect opportunity for you.
Reporting to the Global Head of Nutrition and Regulatory Affairs, this role will lead specific projects to drive our claims strategy and also demands the translation of public health and policy-relevant scientific nutrition research to support business growth.
In addition to working with the scientists in our Global Nutrition team, this role will work very closely with our Regulatory, Legal, and platform teams.
What you'll be doing
- Lead development of claims strategy at regional levels
- Development of governance of roadmap and resources for research and claims pathway execution globally
- Develop position papers on key industrywide topics
What you'll need to have
- Masters/PhD in Nutrition or a related field
- Strong experience in working on nutritional/health claims and close collaboration with Regulatory professionals
- Strong foundation in the food / food ingredients industry with experience and/or knowledge of the regulatory environment
- Good knowledge of sweeteners and carbohydrate nutrition will be advantageous
- Strong track record of communicating successfully with technical and nontechnical audiences through firstclass interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to manage / prioritise multiple projects with complex scientific information requiring high attention to detail and intense deadlines
- Evidence of forging strong relationships with internal stakeholders, i.e. R&D, marketing, regulatory, Legal, etc.
- Selfstarter with an independent working style
- Strong team player, collaborative/collegiate working style, and supportive of colleagues globally to meet team goals
Joining Tate & Lyle
This role can hybrid based from the London office, or other EU offices, or indeed fully remote - finding the right person is most important to us.
Our global headquarters are in a fantastic London location, overlooking Hyde Park near Marble Arch. The office is home to our Executive Board and colleagues working across a range of global functions. The majority of the team split their time between home and office. The site is set up to support hybrid working and promote collaboration.
It is a progressive workspace with a mix of different areas including meeting pods, sofas, an outside terrace, a quiet library room and a wellbeing space.
