We are looking for enthusiastic motivated individuals to join our Maternity team, at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust.
As a Community Maternity Support Worker your role will be to assist, support and work in collaboration with the midwife and the wider multidisciplinary team; in order to provide a safe and holistic approach to woman centred care.
The post is primarily community based, however rotation within the unit may be required and the employee will be provided with appropriate training for the clinical setting in which they are working.
This is a rewarding and varied role supporting women antenatally and postnatally in the community setting, including home visits and community clinics.
Providing care for women and families in the first few weeks of a babies life requires the skilled maternity support worker to be kind, compassionate and able to build a good rapport and meaningful relationship quickly.

Non-clinical responsibilitiesAssist with the admission, orientation and discharge of women and their babies in accordance with local policy and guidance.
Ensure that all clinical documentation is accurately, collected, updated, stored and filed in accordance with local information governance and record keeping policy and guidance.

Manage own time effectively whilst prioritising care needs for women and their babies under care under the direction of the midwife.
Must hold full UK driving licence
