An East midlands Local Authority is looking for a qualified social workers to work join its Adults Disability Team.Blended approach to working with a mixture of home working and office-based working
Responsibilities of the role:
- To be accountable for providing support for adults with physical disabilities and older people with eligible needs frailty and cognitive disabilities arising from long term conditions such as Dementia
- To provide support to adults with early onset dementia including alcohol related dementia where the primary need is linked to needs arising from dementia.
- To be responsible for providing independence and opportunities with a focus on outcomes that promote wellbeing.
- You will be responsible for Care Act Assessment, Safeguarding, Mental Capacity Assessments/Best Interests decisions and Court Work
Requirements of the role:
- Must hold a Social Work Qualification
- Must be registered with Social Work England
- Must have postqualification experience in a social work setting
- Must have knowledge of relevant legislation including The Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act
