This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious change programme, transforming the way in which universal help and support is offered to children and families in Croydon.


Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities:


As a Start for Life Workstream Lead you will report to the Start for Life Strategic Delivery Lead for day to day line management with a possible matrix management arrangement from across other relevant service areas.


Working closely alongside other newly appointed members of the 'Start for Life' team, the workstream lead role will play an integral part in delivering specific outcomes and activities set down within the Family Hub Delivery Plan.

Workstream Leads will possess sound understanding of the Start for Life offer, with an ability to bring leadership and drive forward programme delivery in the areas of Infant Feeding, Perinatal Mental Health/Parent Infant Relationships and Parenting Support.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and overseeing the successful implementation Start for Life services across one of the identified areas referenced (Infant Feeding, Perinatal Mental Health/Parent Infant Relationships and Parenting Support).
  • Leading monthly subgroup group meetings and champion the progression of partnership activity to ensure that Start for Life delivery milestones are met.
  • Work alongside communication and digital colleagues in developing promotion of the 'Start for Life' offer.
  • This role has no direct line management responsibility however, the post holder may be expected to support a matrix management approach to designated peer supporters across the Start for Life service areas.

The purpose of the role is to:

  • Lead a focussed and timely approach to the delivery of projects that underpin the Family Hubs Start for Life offer. This will include the scoping and implementation of activities outlined within the Family Hubs delivery plan, the development of positive working relationships and co-design of services with a with a range of providers and stakeholders, including parents and carers.
  • Work with and through other SFL workstream leads and the Strategic Lead to achieve an integrated Start for Life offer promoting increases reach and uptake of services.
  • Use additional data insights to understand local need and demographics in planning service delivery.

Requirements:

Educated to degree level/equivalent professional qualification or significant experience in working within a related service area with babies and children aged 0 to 2 years old

  • Sound experience of programme management and how to deliver effective system transformation
  • Detailed knowledge of the Family Hubs approach and other strategic developments that will support delivery and contribute to outcomes for children, young people and their families Full time 36 hours per week
