Description

This is an exciting time to join Bevan Brittan.

We are growing at quite some pace and a significant contribution to this journey is our ability to recruit and develop fantastic early talent through our trainee and apprenticeship programmes.

Due to an internal promotion we are looking for an Early Talent Advisor to join our team in a brand new role.

You will coordinate the full lifecycle of the firm's apprenticeship and trainee programmes (incorporating our summer vacation schemes), alongside supporting the delivery of key strategic projects.

We support our people to work in an agile way, so the role will offer a flexible mix of home and office working.

The recruitment team currently work regularly from home and enjoy spending time together in the office for "anchor days", often with the wider HR team.

As our Early Talent Advisor, you will:

  • Coordinate the trainee and apprenticeship recruitment programmes across all four offices
  • Organise and facilitate the summer vacation programmes across all four offices
  • Work with the Senior Early Talent Advisor to deliver our trainee and apprentice induction programmes
  • Coordinate and attend careers fairs and other careers events as appropriate; build relationships with key school and university points of contact
  • Coordinate the trainee and apprentice seat rotation, qualification and NQ onboarding processes
  • Take a lead on developing a future trainee/apprentice prejoining engagement programme, including working closely with the HR team to ensure a smooth onboarding process
  • Manage the early talent inbox; act as the initial point of contact for daytoday queries from trainees / apprentices and other external parties
  • Get involved in key early talent ED&I initiatives, including our participation in programmes such as the Bristol Early Careers Network year 10 work experience scheme
  • Support the delivery of ad hoc or new work experience programmes and events (e.g. trainee away days)
  • Build relationships with key external governing bodies and suppliers in relation to trainee solicitor/apprentice qualifications
  • Support others in the recruitment team to deliver strategic projects, including responsible business focussed initiatives
  • Report on key metrics across early talent activity
  • Support with experienced hire legal recruitment at peak times, as required
  • Work with the wider HR team to deliver additional project work, as appropriate

Role requirements

  • At least two years' early careers recruitment experience, ideally within a professional services or legal environment
  • Involvement with volume recruitment, ideally at graduate or apprentice level
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels
  • Strong presentation skills and/or an interest in further developing this
  • Highly organised with excellent planning, time management and coordination skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • A collaborative team player who works with others effectively
  • A flexible, cando attitude and a pragmatic approach
  • A good working knowledge of IT packages (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
