Description
Work is underway with the building expected to open in 2028. Our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit supports a wide range of medical and surgical specialties, major trauma, education and research. We are the regional centre for paediatric surgery, with a 13 bedded PICU and a 40 cot neonatal unit. Paediatric cardiac surgery, paediatric transplantation and craniofacial are the only subspecialties not offered on site.


There are close links with the University Department of Paediatrics and the Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Neonatal Transport Team.
