    Head of Social Media - Edgy Radio Station

    Job Title: Head of Social Media Marketing

     

    We are seeking a dynamic and creative self-starter to spearhead the development and execution of our social media strategy.

    About Us

    Our client delivers uncensored LIVE talk-radio for 18-35 year olds, broadcasting programming that includes celebrity news, politics, sex and relationships, football, comedy, music, money, food, LGBT+, and much more. Their listening audience currently exceeds 1.5 million.

    The Role

    As the Head of Social Media Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in driving awareness and listenership of our radio station as we continue to grow. Your ideas for daily social content will epitomise our tone and message, leading from the front and ideating with the team. You will lead the daily production of engaging video content, ensuring it aligns with trending news and resonates with our audience.

    • Develop and lead the social strategy across all platforms, with a particular focus on organically growing our social channels.
    • Create engaging, cutting-edge social content that our audience will want to share.
    • Foster an active and engaged social media community by interacting with our audience, responding to comments and messages.
    • Work with show sponsors on social collaborations.
    • Collaborate with talent to leverage their audiences on their social channels.
    • Collaborate with the production team to develop engaging, relevant content.
    • Utilize platform data to gather insights and develop learnings.

    Requirements

    • 4 years minimum experience in a social media agency or within the social media team in a similar content-driven media brand.
    • Proven ability to grow social following and engagement.
    • Experience in building and implementing social media strategies.
    • Understanding of paid, earned, and owned.
    • Understand social analytics and compile reports for the wider team.
    • In tune with celebrity UK and US popular culture.
    • Possionate about social media and emerging trends.
    • An impeccable grasp of the English language, with accurate spelling, excellent writing skills, and high attention to detail.
