Platform Engineer, Manchester, £65,000 - £80,000

Wouldn't you want a role that feels like a long vacation, a vacation where you actually do work but at the same you get a feeling of accomplishment because the work that you do is impactful? So many people work jobs/projects which they don't even think areimportant, and this contributes to an increasing, continuous disliking on the role, until a point where you feel like it's not meaningful and you feel like quitting.

I have a role that is the complete opposite.

I'm looking for a driven individual to add value to this AWS cloud team.

On a day to day basis you can expect to work with AWS, Docker/K8s, Terraform and Jenkins as well as provide consultation, design and technical support for the delivery of projects.

You will act as somewhat of an expert in AWS tech and show collegiality by helping (or receive help) your colleagues.

In terms of the role responsibilities it would be beneficial to have experience with the following:

Cloud (AWS)
Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Operating Systems (Linux)
IaC (Terraform)
Scripting (Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python)
Orchestration (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins)
Serverless (Lambda)

This is a role which provides more of an entrepreneurial environment rather than a pyramidal structure.

You can progress your own development in an autonomous environment, creating stretching objectives and seeking learning opportunities within the businessand beyond.
