Our client in Carlisle is looking for someone who can support them as a Financial Project Coordinator, to help with the growth of their business.


You will be working as part of a large project management team to help develop and grow the business into a much more digital market, to serve their existing clients' needs and expectations.

The role:


  • Assist with the companys' financial vision and set a budget
  • Management and forecasting of resource costs vs overall cost centre budget, with supporting FTE and Headcount analysis, escalating any concerns to the Head of Project Management
  • Forecasting the impact of stage gate outcomes and change control requests to assess the impact on the cost centre budget
  • Support the road map review and shaping processes, to gain a greater understanding of pipeline budgets
  • Assist with the purchasing processes
  • Manage the purchasing processes across the portfolios, including handling purchase requisitions, raising purchase orders or arranging P-Card payments inline with agreed
policy

  • Keep the purchase order list up to date and accurate, manage accruals and invoice payments
  • Provide support and coaching on budgetary control processes to the Project Management team
  • Undertake daily, weekly and/or monthly disciplines to support the efficient delivery of month end financial results and forecasts
  • Support projects with the identification and management of financial risks
  • Support with key financial activities, including the annual budget and year end statutory audit
  • Identify potential risks associated with resource supply and demand
  • Produce monthly reports/analysis on resourcing.

Ideal skills:

Previous experience within a similar role or evidence of financial project management would be desired.

Sound financial awareness - eg budget forecasting, purchasing, invoice management.

Excellent level of attention to detail.

A strong drive to deliver change; a pro-active, pragmatic and dynamic approach to work.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate key messages, both at a senior level and to project teams.


Hours and Salary
Monday - Friday

Hybrid working considered

9am-5pm

£50,000 per annum
