Description
At The Victory, we have two-year groups from Reception to Year 6 with a pre-school on site.

A unique feature of our school is that we also have an Inclusion Centre for children across Portsmouth with communication and interaction needs.


The role


An experienced Cleaner is required who will be primarily stationed at The Victory Primary School in Paulsgrove but may be required to work additional hours across the cluster of schools.

Working hours are 15:30-18:00 (Monday to Friday hours per week).

Term Time 39 weeks (12.5 hours per week), plus an additional 75 hours per annum for deep cleaning. More details can be found in the job description.

  • Carry out cleaning duties following COSHH data sheets, risk assessments and method statements
  • Correctly use the cleaning equipment and materials provided, in compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures and work in a safe manner
  • Adhere to United Learning policy and procedures
  • Be a team player, work as part of a small team but manage your own responsibilities and be accountable for your designated area
  • Carry out cleaning tasks to meet the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) standards
  • Keep all cleaning equipment clean and maintained and report any faults to your Supervisor/Manager
  • To ensure that all accidents/near misses are reported to your Supervisor/Manager
  • Be customer focussed supporting staff, parents and pupils giving excellent customer care at all times
  • Deliver a programme of deep cleans for all areas of the Academy during the holiday periods as directed by the Site Manager, each new academic year
  • To actively promote the academy's policies
  • To continue personal professional development and willingness to undertake training
  • To comply with the Academy's Health and Safety Policy and undertake risk assessments as appropriate
  • To comply with the Academy's procedures concerning safeguarding
