Our team
The Responsible Business team leads on the firm's international Responsible Business strategy and programme.

As a centre of excellence within the firm, the team is responsible for how we embed ESG principles throughout the international business, and how we create positive impact across our four focus areas of people, community, environment and governance and ethics.


Alongside leading on overall firmwide strategy, and corporate communications, the team also supports client pitches and we are responsible for key annual reporting including the UN Global Compact and our Responsible Business reports.


Role and key responsibilities


Reporting into the Responsible Business Lead, you will lead on the delivery of our Community focus area including engagement and volunteering activities for colleagues, first-line point of contact for charitable partnerships, supporting our charitable trust, supporting colleagues and partners internationally, and delivering high-impact communication activity and annual reporting.


The responsible business team has an international remit and as part of your role, you will have the opportunity to devise and deliver impact across borders and collaborating with our US colleagues on high-profile global initiatives.


Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Coordinating firmwide actions to ensure consistency, delivering our Responsible Business strategy, and tracking and assessing progress
  • Delivering against external responsible business benchmarking, charters and commitments
  • Managing relationships with our charitable partnerships as part of our community programme, and with other external partners and sponsors
  • Expanding our international programme of activities through our offices and charity partners
  • Keeping track of all community and responsible business activity across the firm internationally
  • Supporting our Charitable Trust and Responsible Business Board in the discharge of their duties and effective governance
  • Developing a broad internal network, supporting with client engagement activities, and equipping colleagues to embed responsible business in their clientfacing teams and across the international firm
  • Collaborating with other responsible business workstream colleagues where necessary including D&I, Environmental Sustainability and Pro Bono on areas of common interest to deliver highimpact results for the firm including with US counterparts for flagship global initiatives
  • Responsibility for authoring the Community section of the annual International Responsible Business Report and supporting with the report's overall publication
  • Working with our Communications team to develop high quality and engaging internal and external communications including draft award submissions
  • Planning and delivering against a yearly schedule of key responsible business events and celebrations that are firmwide
  • Updating community and responsible business content on the intranet and website
  • Support the Responsible Business Lead as necessary for the effective delivery of firm and team priorities
  • Actively developing own knowledge and expertise in responsible business, contributing insights, knowledge and innovative ideas and approaches to enhance our activity

Skills and experience
You will be highly motivated, work well under pressure and with excellent accuracy, especially in written communications.
