About our opportunity

In our expanding market, we are seeking a Contract Estimator with relevant experience in Geotechnical and Drilling contract management to assist in the accurate preparation and processing of contracts within the geotechnical engineering and drilling company.

As a part of the Raeburn Drilling and Geotechnical Engineering (Northern) group, (now owned by the SafeLane Group of companies) you will be flexible and able to multitask; work to tight deadlines and have great communication skills.

Ensuring you deliver accurate and technical documents to our clients covering a range of site investigation requirements.


Key tasks include:

• Composing technical tender documents.
• Helping with Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ).
• Liaising with clients to understand their technical and commercial tender specifications.
• Maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support commercial and tendering activities.
• Support senior management with daytoday organisation of commercial tendering activities, company management forms, company databases and management reports.
• Provide industry intelligence from the tender process to inform commercial decisionmaking and company strategy.
• Knowledge of ICE Site Investigation Steering Group UK Specification for Ground Investigation and ICE Conditions of Contract for Ground Investigation.
• Knowledge of industry practitioners, key players, and suppliers.
• Knowledge of site investigation methods, and drilling techniques.
• Experience in tender proposals and cost estimating.

About you
Working hours are 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday each week.
