The role

This role will be based within the Submarine Support Engineering business area, working for the Programme Management Office responsible for delivering a collection of small projects which span all elements of the project lifecycle, totalling more than £200m.


Day to day you'll

  • Be partnered with a group of engineering delivery teams,


supporting project managers within these teams to generate a breadth of artefacts across all project controls disciplines, including Estimating, Planning & Scheduling, Budgeting & Cost Control, Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Opportunities Management (RAIDO) and Change Management.


  • Your work will span all elements of the project lifecycle, covering the production of project controls outputs throughout Bid, Delivery and Closure stages.

Essential experience of the Project Controls Assistant,

  • 12+ years of experience working in a Project environment.
  • Familiarity with principles of Project Management and Project Controls.
  • Exposure/ experience with some Project Controls outputs such as Schedules, Cost Forecasts, Finance/ Cost Control Systems, Risk Registers, and monthly reporting.
This role offers hybrid working arrangments: 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home
