Description
The role is for a Quality Manager;
Key points for the role;

  • Prior experience in building a QMS and team for effective and efficient quality planning.
  • Prior roles as an inspector & quality engineer.
  • Welding/Fabrication/sheet metal experience.
  • Experience in setting effective KPI's and communication channels throughout the business
  • Experience in being accountable for project delivery, cost and quality
  • Demonstratable experience in improving quality performance in a fabrication supplier
  • Demonstratable experience of managing quality performance and delivering customer improvement plans.
  • ISO 9001:2015 system & management knowledge
  • ISO 14001/45001 system & management knowledge
Nice to haves;

  • Experience with creating, leading and managing quality teams.
  • Experience with fabricating in Stainless Steel and Aluminium
  • Process Engineering/Continuous Improvement leadership and implementation.
  • Cost vs Benefit Analysis experience.
  • Ontime project delivery for key customers and management of customer experience (PPAP, CI, 8D)
  • Change management experience and knowledge especially around culture.
  • IATF 16949 system & management knowledge


The business is required by its customers to develop processes to reduce defects to 0, remove cost, reduce lead times and to do this we require an individual who is driven to improve processes through the use of technology.

The existing customer base is investing in an automotive approach to quality and systems.

The business wants to develop it's own systems to exceed the customers expectations and set clear standards throughout the factory.

The role is expected to understand the commercial implications of decisions and liaise with the relevant teams to ensure company financial targets are met.

Salary:
£16.00-£18.50 per hour
