In this crucial 'Work Related Learning Coordinator' role you will work across the Social Work, Care and Community Department with direct responsibility for organising, coordinating, and facilitating the provision of work experience placements, and work-related learning opportunities, for students on undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses.

You will be expected to work with a range of social work, social care, youth and community partners across the D2N2 Teaching Partnership and beyond.

You will uphold departmental values in support of inclusivity, equality, social justice, and diversity through a decolonial lens.


With the support of a Principal Lecturer, your role will support regional, national, and potentially international partnerships and the development of new ones.

This will enhance our existing educational provision, work related opportunities and placement experiences across our portfolio.

Currently, this includes, a Foundation Degree:

Working with Children, Young People and Families; our undergraduate courses: BA Social Work and BA Social Work Apprenticeship, BA Youth Work, BA Youth Justice, and BA Health and Social Care; and our postgraduate courses: MA Social Work (plus a Continuous Professional Development Framework), MA Career Guidance and Leadership, and MA Youth Work, Leadership and Practice.


You will work alongside, and support, lecturers and placement module leaders across the department, providing leadership in provision of work related learning opportunities across a thriving department.

You will use and develop networks and systems to deliver and maintain these high-quality learning opportunities in support of 'highly skilled' employability and excellent graduate outcomes.
