TRAINEE CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT
The position will initially be offered on a five-year fixed-term training contract.

We are recruiting trainees onto our Chartered Accountant training programme 2023, to be based in our Dundee and Edinburgh offices.
With continued support and mentoring, we aim to make the transition from school or college to work life as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Our trainees are given the opportunity early on to work on a variety of clients, ranging from owner managed businesses to major family-owned companies and not for profit organisations.

Each day is different and brings new challenges, whether it be going out as part of the team on your first audit, leading assignments, coaching and developing colleagues, attending client meetings or preparing reports for presentation to clients.
Study and financial support for ICAS qualification will be provided. You will also have access to additional training through the HL Training Academy.
Skills and personal attributes required:
- Three A or B passes at Higher level (or equivalent). These must include English and Maths and preferably achieved within the same academic year. OR HNC/D or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- A demonstrable interest in business and financial issues
- A welldeveloped sense of client service
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proactive and analytical approach to problem solving
In addition, you will share our values, be approachable and able to work collaboratively, and demonstrate a desire to contribute to the ongoing success of the firm.
The expected start date for this position is August 2023.
