Labour Hire is looking for a TIG WELDER for a well-established company in GREENFIELD, OLDHAM.

_This is a full-time, permanent position with NO agency probation period_

About You:

Methodical and diligent in approach to work.
Ability to work on own initiative, with an aptitude for solving problems.
Proactive and flexible attitude.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Good attendance and timekeeping.
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience with welding metal components
You will be able to operate gas and nongas welding device in carrying out welding duties
You will be able to measure accurately using a tape measure.
Problemsolving Skill to assess metal structures to identify and repair any of damaged welds
Read and interpret drawings
Be able to follow instructions and complete work to a high standard
Attention to detail
Follow all health and safety procedures set out by the company to maintain a safe working environment for all Wear the correct PPE whilst carrying out the welding role

About the Role:

Monday-Thursday 13:4522:00 Friday 12:3019:30
Rate: Negotiable

- dependant on experience

Measure and align work pieces using straightedges, clamps, and callipers
Ensure compliance with established health/safety policies and regulations
Carry out grinding and thermal cutting operations to obtain various textures and sizes for metal parts
Oversee the setup of TIG welding equipment
Operate power and hand tools such as arc welders, buffing machine, and scrapers
Maintain good working knowledge of the welding characteristics of metals
Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements
