Mechanical Engineering - 12-month internship/placement (2023)

Salary - £20500

Location - Selby

We're so excited to offer you the chance to put the theory you're learning into practice.

You'll be working within our Mechanical Engineering team, getting hands on with a range of projects and variety of challenges that arise on plant.

You'll be working collaboratively with the team to find the best solution, utilising your problem-solving skills, and leveraging your knowledge gained at university.

You'll have the opportunity to work on everything from fuel collection, storage, material transfer conveyors & piping, pumps, fire detection & suppression systems and Boiler engineering projects.

What we're looking for

About Drax

We are one of the largest energy generators in the UK, with our main site in North Yorkshire covering 13 square miles.

That means there are a lot of complex and interesting structures to work on, not to mention some of the new ones in the pipeline.
