Vetro Education are seeking to recruit an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a SEN School in Aberdare.
The school primarily supports learners with ASD and Vetro Education are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants in or around Aberdarewho are experienced in this field.
The role will be for 5 days per week with an immediate start.In the first instance, the role will run until the end of the academic year, with a view to returning in September 2023.

The role :
What you'll be doing as a
SENTeaching Assistant
- Supporting and supervising learners with ASD
- Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day
- Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson
- Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs
- Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
- Assist learners at break time with their lunch
- Engage learners with both classroom and outofclassroom activities
- Work in accordance to the school's behaviour management policies
- At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial
- Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) we can help you with this
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
