Responsibilities:

• Perform masonry work, including bricklaying, blocklaying, and stonework
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and removing any debris or loose materials
• Mix mortar or grout according to specifications
• Lay bricks, blocks, or stones in a pattern or design
• Use tools such as trowels, levels, and hammers to ensure proper alignment and placement
• Cut bricks or stones to fit in specific areas or to create desired shapes
• Repair or replace damaged bricks, blocks, or stones
• Work on various projects such as building walls, chimneys, patios, and walkways

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a mason or similar role
• Knowledge of different masonry techniques and materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
• Excellent handeye coordination and manual dexterity
• Familiarity with safety procedures and precautions in the construction industry

Note:
Welding, roofing, or carpentry skills are not required for this position.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 36 months


Salary:
£28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Plastering: 1 year (preferred)
• Bricklaying: 1 year (required)
• Masonry: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
• CSCS (required)
