Our client is currently looking for an Area Sales Manager for their South West territory to sell their productportfolio and provide training and support to Orthopaedic Surgeons.

The role


As an Area Sales Manager, you'll manage the South West territory, providing training and support to numerous stakeholders in both NHS and private hospitals, from Orthopaedic surgeons to procurement departments.

Responsible for selling the portfolio, you'llbe enthusiastic and eager to maintain and grow the territory.

  • Other responsibilities include: _
  • Selling the product portfolio into the NHS and private sector
  • Growing the territory in line with targets
  • Maintaining and growing business in the territory
  • Attending surgery and educating and supporting Orthopaedic surgeons and theatre staff
  • Providing training on the product portfolio to theatre staff
  • Reporting to the RSM and providing weekly updates
  • Managing the territory and customers
  • Attending tradeshows and exhibitions
  • Please note that the territory for this role is across the South West (South Wales, Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester to Swindon)._

The requirements

  • You will have either 12 years of experience in medical device or orthopaedic sales (preferred), as well as_
  • Knowledge of anatomy/physiology
  • Computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office suite)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in an account management role
  • Full UK driving license and ability to travel across the territory
  • Account management/sales experience desirable
  • Knowledge of the orthopaedics market is desirable but not essential
  • Passionate and motivated
