An opportunity has arisen in the East Sector Estates Department for a suitably experienced Building Supervisor.
Reporting directly to the Estate Officer/Authorised Person East, you will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring all building related maintenance including contract work is carried out to the appropriate standards and specifications in compliance with all Policies, Procedures, Legislation and Health and Safety requirements.
A recognised City & Guilds apprenticeship in an appropriate trade and educated to HNC level in a building related discipline is essential.
You will provide leadership and operational management to Technicians, maintenance staff and specialist contract staff carrying out all aspects of building maintenance activities.
An awareness of Scottish Technical Health Memorandum (SHTM) guidance and previous management experience in building maintenance within a healthcare built environment would be an advantage.
You should be able to demonstrate versatility and experience on the management of a range of building related maintenance work in addition to being an effective communicator.
You will also be required to take part in an on call rota, and be able to work at other hospitals within Ayrshire to meet the demands of the service.
**Hours: 37.5 per week (8.00am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 1.30pm Friday)
