ABOUT THE JOB.


The Quality Operative will join us to strengthen our technical team, by taking the lead in assessing all product produced, to ensure it meets all prescribed food safety and product quality requirements, in line with legislative and Company standards.

You'll also be responsible for

  • Maintaining accurate and timely records for due diligence purposes and company reporting
  • Completing line audits for a variety of attributes, (such as size, defects, frozen and dried appearance, fried texture)
  • Grade the products accordingly
  • Support the Shift Auditor, such as swabbing, T2 verification checks and GMP inspections
  • Restricting any nonconforming product at site, as well as externally.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR


We are looking for someone who can really make a difference to our plant, you'll have experience working within a quality driven environment, and it would be desirable also to have experience working with the SQDC process.

You'll also have

  • Experience of lean manufacturing principles
  • Good communication skills
  • Courage to challenge to ensure correct standards are adhered to
  • Eye for detail
  • The strive to find areas of improvement to bring about positive change to the site

WHERE YOU'LL WORK
You'll be based at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough.

If you've spotted our three wind turbines, then you'll know where we are With about 350 employees on site, we're one of our largest plants across the GB business.

Our Whittlesey plant is where we make our famous French Fries as well as our chilled products, such as our Shake Shake Fries.

You will be following a rotational shift pattern of 2 days on, 1 day off, 2 nights on, 3 days off.

Each shift is 12 hours.
