Digital Content Executive

Pendragon Head Office

£22,000 basic salary with pension, critical illness pay, life assurance, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales services

Role Purpose


Be an ace on our Content Management System, as well as generate extremely high-quality written and visual content that can be published online.

This role gives you the opportunity to work on a variety of digital content projects, primarily the transformation of the Pendragon Vehicle Management and Pendragon PLC websites.

In your role you


Will be a proven and skilled member of the Content Team, able to take on the work of both a Website Editor and Content Writer to a high degree of competency.


Key Responsibilities of the Digital Content Executive:

  • Editing our websites, maintaining the highest standards of content management best practice
  • You will be responsible for the web page content design, ensuring our websites are looking better than ever
  • Sourcing and making use of relevant digital assets
  • Content writing across a variety of volume and premium brands including product and service information pages, as well as soft content such as blogs and company news
  • Generating suitable content ideas, and bringing your ideas to life on our websites
  • Editorial responsibilities, including proofreading
  • Conduct keyword research to inform and enhance both new and existing pieces of content
  • Ensuring all content is onbrand and consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice

What do you need to succeed in the role of Digital Content Executive:

  • Excellent spelling and grammar, with the ability to change the tone of voice dependent on the audience
  • Whilst working on campaigns you will be liaising with a variety of associates within the business, so the ability to communicate effectively is a must
  • The ability to develop fresh ideas and new ways of thinking to make the most of our inhouse design team
  • An in depth knowledge and understanding of the products and services that we offer
  • A willingness to embrace change, including new ways of working, technology and marketing techniques
  • Experience of wider marketing roles and activities, as well as a strong understanding of onpage SEO
  • 1 year content writing experience
