Description

We are recruiting for a Senior Bookkeeper to join an accountancy practice on the outskirts of York.

This company prides itself on its commitment to work/life balance and ensuring that their people have the flexibility they need not just daily but weekly.

This is a full time position, 37 hours - you choose how to deliver that in your week.

As long as you are in the office 10am-4pm 4 days of the week, the rest is up to you.

A salary between £30,000 TO £35,000 is offered along with an amazing benefits packageand free parking

The role

To support the bookkeeping team.
Help with any technical queries the team have
Mange the team workflow, to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manor
Help the team achieve its KPI, and identify any potential issues in doing so
Communicate directly with the senior accountants to update on work flows / potential issues.
Manage your own portfolio of bookkeeping clients

Your experience

At least 5 years of practice experience.
Knowledge of Vat schemes and Vat rules
Payroll experience
Experienced in bookkeeping practices and managing high level clients
Proficient computing skills in Practice Management, Microsoft Office, and commercial software accounting packages
Experience of Xero is essential for this role
Excellent logical analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skill
Previous experience managing a team of accounts staff is preferred however not essential
