We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Support Team from September or sooner if available.

Allestree Woodlands School is a popular and successful 11-18 school, providing high quality education for 1370 students (200+ in the sixth form).

The school is situated on the northern edge of the city of Derby in a very pleasant setting overlooking the Kedleston Hall National Trust estate.

We work as a great team together and are committed to the continuing professional development of all colleagues.

The faculty assists students with a range of educational needs throughout school.

We aim to meet the needs of students with general learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, deafness, visual impairment and social, emotional and mental health needs.

This post requires a person who understands the needs of SEND students within a secondary school setting. The ability to establish good working relationships with the students and staff is essential. Previous experience of working with SEND students is highly desirable.

The successful applicant will be well supported and have opportunities for continued professional development; we are looking for an individual with potential who is open to learning.

Salary:
£16,852.00-£18,121.00 per year
