We have an exciting opportunity for you to work as Adult Lead Practitioner in Barnet Council.

The pay rate is £45 per hour umbrella

Your key responsibilities will include:

Under the direction of a Team Leader and operating within multidisciplinary teams act as the practice and professional lead providing clear and responsive practice leadership and case work supervision, modelling best practice and promoting the highest professional standards.

The post holder will have the skills and ability to practice at a higher level which includes deputising for the line manager in circumstances where the line manager is not available, or they are delegate to act in a line management position by the designated Head of Service
Take a lead in developing high quality social care practice and the professional development of staff and students across Adult Social Care and Health through specialist support and advice.
Mentoring less experienced staff.
Coworking with less experienced Social Workers, and health colleagues in the Integrated L.D Team.
Take responsibility for managing a small caseload of some of the more complex cases.
To effectively manage and deliver Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Mental Capacity, Deprivation of Liberty and Best Interest Assessments, cases and investigations where a citizen or carer may be at risk, referring to an independence mental capacity advocate (IMCA), as appropriate
Ensure compliance with the service standards and processes and operate within the context of the service priorities and principles of increasing user choice and control over the services they receive.

Fully registered with Social Work England

Having minimum experience of 2 years in working with Adult Safeguarding and similar client services

Able to drive and hold a UK driving License
