Electronic Hardware Engineer
We're seeking an Electronic Hardware Engineer for our customer Evoqua.

Evoqua is a leading provider of mission-critical water and wastewater treatment solutions, offering a broad portfolio of products, services, and expertise to support industrial, municipaland recreational customers who value water.

This position will be hybrid and based in middle or southern Günzburg, Germany.


Job Purpose:


Using your extensive knowledge of Electronic development, you will be responsible for developing Electronic hardware components for Evoqua Analyser & Controller product portfolio and sustaining across the complete lifecycle.

You would be expected to work collaborativelywith internal and external electronic development team.

  • Key dimensions to the role:_
  • Analog/Digital/MCU/power supply Schematic development for printed circuit board design
  • Components evaluation
  • Development of Printed circuit board layouts (Orcad, Mentor PADS),
  • EMCcompliant circuit board design in accordance with EMC directive/Low Voltage Directive/Machinery Directive
  • CE certification and documentation in accordance to European and international guidelines
  • Creation of concepts and specifications for printed circuit boards
  • Experienced in Microcontroller Hardware development / MCU Software skills, Flash technologies ARM Cortex Microcontrollers (IAR),
  • Interfaces: I2C, SPI /QSPI, UART, RS485, USB, Ethernet, CAN,
  • Create documentation for manufacturing and test of printed circuit boards
  • SAP / create part numbers, BOM, export classifications, SAP evaluations stock/use/costs
  • Willingness to take on responsibility and to work in a team
  • Work with external partner companies
  • Languages: German and English
  • Studies in electronics engineering and information technology or similar
  • New product / Value Analysis and Value Engineering_

  • Sustaining Engineering & Support _

  • 2nd Line Sales Support

Main Responsibilities:


  • Develop hardware schematic and layout according specification and Safety/EMC standards
  • Detailed test of prototype boards
  • Develop manufacturing and test documentation
  • Development and evaluation of hardware specifications
  • Functional test of software components as well as hardware components
  • Perform certifications with external certification labs
  • Support other departments in case of technical problems
  • SAP / create BOM's / export classifications
  • Perform change requests/orders
  • Sustaining of product during lifecycle
  • Supplier assistance
  • Maintaining CE documentation and other international certifications

Main Requirements:


  • Knowledge and Experience in Hardware schematic and layout development, Skills in MCU Hardware development and Analog/Digital Schematic design, Software skills (Essential)
  • A good understanding of all other engineering disciplines as applied to disinfection products to interact with other specialists. (Desirable)
  • Experience in international standards and certifications. (Desirable)
  • Able to work in a team environment. (Essential)
  • Prioritisation skills & time management. (Essential)
  • Good communication. (Essential)
  • Experienced in water treatment technologies, within their specific area of expertise. (Desirable)
  • Language skills: German, native/fluent level (Essential). English, advanced. (Desirable)
  • Degree level in Electronics Engineering or similar. (Essential)
