The Department of NDM Experimental Medicine is seeking to appoint a Senior Finance Officer to join the department's administrative team.

You will lead the Finance Team ensuring that the team runs effectively and efficiently on a daily basis.

You will be responsible for a range of duties including monitoring the General Ledger accounts ensuring their financial viability and producing and maintaining salary and overhead forecasts.

You will also need to work closely with the Research Grants Team.

You should have previous experience working with and manipulating data sets and have an understanding of creating and monitoring budgets.

An ability to deal with people at all levels is essential.

You will demonstrate high level of numeracy and attention to detail combined with the ability to work on routine matters with minimum supervision.

Previous experience of working in a University environment would be advantageous, as would experience of working with computer based accounting systems within a busy office such as the Oracle Financials accounts system.

Appropriate training will be provided as required.

This is a fixed-term position for up to 3 years.

You will be based in the John Radcliffe Hospital but you may be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.
