We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our busy Cowdenbeath workshop. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates.

Your attention to detail and strong analytical skills will be crucial in ensuring the profitability and success of our projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work
  • Conduct cost analysis and prepare accurate estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ascertain the required information for tendering
  • Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project costs
  • Present estimates and proposals to clients in a professional manner
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation

Skills:


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project requirements
  • Proficient in using estimating software and tools
  • Attention to detail to ensure precise cost estimates
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
Previous Experience


Qualifications appropriate to the role ideally you'll already have at least 2 years' experience of estimating and a background in a similar role, if not you will be a qualified tradesman with estimating experience.

Sound knowledge of fabrication and welding of structural steelwork, secondary steelwork, access steelwork.

Knowledge of Scottish Water specification requirements would be advantageous.


Pay:
£34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
