Role Overview
We have a unique opportunity for a rural surveyor to undertake rural property management across Shropshire and surrounding counties.

Working within our growing and progressive Estate Management department in Telford, the role will focus on the management of rural estates and strategic property portfolios as well as wider professional work.


The role will encompass a varied spectrum of work, including management of diverse rural property, land use strategy, balancing economic and environmental outcomes, whilst ensuring clients remain compliant and well positioned to respond to the challenges posed.


This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a dynamic market leading team, with many years of land management experience assisting forward thinking and high profile rural businesses.

We support agile working within the region, enabling you to manage your time effectively.


The position would suit a surveyor with up to 5 years' experience post qualification who is able to work with autonomy but as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Undertaking all aspects of professional work for retained estate management and consultancy clients.
  • The ongoing management of diverse rural property portfolios including agricultural, residential, sporting and commercial property.
  • Management work to include a wide and varied remit including marketing property to let, negotiating agreements and renewals, undertaking rent reviews, arrears management and overseeing repairs and compliance (which is arranged by our compliance HUB).
  • Accurately preparing P&L budgets and reforecasting expenditure to meet clients expected year end positions.
  • Assisting with providing strategic advice on the sale and retention of assets as well as surrenders and successions of agricultural tenancies.
  • Contributing to developing the business through networking to build up close relationships with existing and new clients and their professional advisors.

Key Skills

  • MRICS qualified (preferred)
  • An interest and experience in estate management with strong interpersonal skills and able to complete instructions to a high standard with attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • A proactive approach to work and a willingness to get involved.
  • Full driving licence and own car.

The Telford office is a market leading multi-disciplinary office delivering all aspects of property management and consultancy services (including property management, residential agency, residential lettings, forestry and arboriculture, architecture and building surveying and valuations) to a range of private, institutional, national, educational and charity clients.
