Bank rate £65 P/H
Shift patterns - Long Days 07:30 to 21:00 / Early 07:45 to 15:45 / Late 13:00 to 21:00

Our main adult theatre is a busy and dynamic environment, setting the benchmark for clinical excellence. We have 5 operating suites catering for Cardiac, Orthopaedics, ENT and Ophthalmic, Plastics, General/Vascular, Urology and Gynaecology. The SCP will integrate into the existing surgical team to carry out their extended role which primarily includes assisting the consultant surgeon to facilitate the safe operating of the hospitals robotic surgical system within the sterile field
What you'll do:
- Uses best evidence, advanced specialist skills, knowledge and expertise to provide expert clinical care
- To integrate into the existing clinical structure and to support other professionals to manage the surgical patient pathways by collaborating with other principle team members.
- Capable of undertaking robotic emergency dedocking procedure and open conversion in the event of a surgical emergency such as uncontrolled haemorrhage or cardiac arrest
- To provide support and advice to nursing, medical and allied health professional staff in relation to the management of the surgical patient in theatres.
- Following protocol, ensure through good practice that customer care initiatives are improved and sustained. Act as a resource for expert advice to carers and staff.
- To lead the provision of care in accordance with Cromwell Hospital policies reflecting current trends and developments in practice.
- To comply with and participate in the hospital's framework for Clinical Governance within the Department area
- Ensure that documentation is maintained to the hospital standard
What you'll bring:
- RN 1st level registration
- NMC registration or Registered ODP.
- RCS Basic Surgical Skills Course
- SFA qualification
- SCP training completed or undertaking.
- ENB 176/183/182 or equivalent
- Teaching/assessing qualification
- ENB 998 or equivalent
