Description

You will take a senior analytical role as part of the Clinical Outcomes and Data Unit driving innovative approaches to generating operational and clinical outcomes measures and insights, ensuring analytical outputs and projects are of the highest quality and supporting processes and governance arrangements that underpin our analytics service for research, audit and quality improvement projects.


You will take a lead in establish strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues providing opportunities for collaborative working within the clinical outcomes and research environment.

You will identify and pursue avenues of innovative approaches and methodologies for evaluating clinical data, opportunities for funding and be confident in presenting research outputs at national and international conferences.

You will support the team's professional and creative development, looking for new learning opportunities and supporting educational placements as required.


You will have a strong appreciation of using data for real world use, and be looking for a role where you can help drive innovative developments, particularly using your statistical skills and knowledge of data quality tools.


You will be able to maximise technological opportunities and analytical methodologies and, using a mixture of established and novel techniques, deliver an array of analytics solutions.

Contribute to the day to day running of the Analytics function acting as a key Analytics resource;
undertaking complex information requests and ad-hoc reporting relevant to specialist area,

leading on analytics projects around service and outcomes improvements,

helping to manage the Analytics requests process

managing own time, prioritising and planning own work schedules.


Provide expert advice on the best methodologies and approach for clinical services, data quality evaluation and reporting and outcomes analysis and reporting.


Take ownership for the monitoring and reporting of key data quality, clinical service and outcomes indicators, flagging any areas of concern and helping to investigate outliers and evidence of change.

Provide expert advice and guidance on the best use of data for research, clinical audits and service evaluation,

Provide expertise around clinical data quality assurance, taking a lead on the development of tools for monitoring and reporting of data quality

Develop systems to collect and report data, providing expert analysis including statistical analysis.


Support the delivery of the Clinical Outcomes and Data Strategy and support the development of the Clinical Outcomes and Data Unit.

Propose policy or service changes that impact the division, and other clinical areas.

Christie Digital Services are now predominantly hybrid working and we are very open to and actively encourage flexible working.

On site working is available as much as you want via a hot desk booking system.

As a team, we plan days when we all come into the office together to met up, share ideas and take the opportunity to trouble shoot, and learn from each other.

We are all readily contactable via Teams both as formal meetings and informal chats and coffee meet ups.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The post holder will:


  • Support the delivery of the Clinical Outcomes and Data Strategy in conjunction with CO Director, Head of Analytics, Lead Analyst and Clinical Teams.


Support the development of the Clinical Outcomes and Data Unit reporting agenda in conjunction with COU Director, Head of Analytics, Lead Analyst and Clinical Teams.

Propose policy or service changes that impact the division, and other clinical areas across the trust.


Provide expert advice on the best methodologies and approach for clinical services, data quality evaluation and reporting and outcomes analysis and reporting.

Take ownership for the monitoring and reporting of key data quality, clinical service and outcomes indicators, flagging any areas of concern and help investigate outliers and evidence of change


Provide expert advice and guidance on the best use of data for research, clinical audits and service evaluation, being the 'go to' person for knowledge around data related to clinical pathways and outcomes, advising on data quality and making recommendations on the best solutions, providing guidance and evidence to clinicians and senior managers on why the recommendations are the best actions to take.
