This role is being advertised by Savills Management Resources (SMR) a wholly owned entity of Savills (UK) Limited but a separate employing entity which is not accredited by Real Living Wage Foundation.
Purpose of the Role
As a security Officer at Clifton Down Shopping Centre you will play an integral role in ensuring that consistently high standards of security, safety and customer service are delivered at all times to visitors, colleagues, retailers and visiting contractors.
This involves providing visible security cover to the centre, handling enquiries and customer concerns, monitoring CCTV (where appropriate by suitablytrained and licensed staff) and controlling contractors and deliveries to the site.
Shifts are 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:30, full working pattern to be discussed at interview, but will involve working both shifts and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
To undertake regular patrols of the Centre as instructed by the Centre Management
To carry out duties in accordance with site specific rules.
To comply fully with the Health & Safety Policy for the centre.
To ensure that the requirements of the Fire regulations are strictly complied with.
To ensure that the Rules & Regulations of the Centre are complied with at all times
Ensure that all incidents are recorded in Incident log.
Ensure that contractors arriving on site adhere fully to the centre procedures for contractor management.
Ensure that the centre is a safe and pleasant environment for all visitors/customers.
To assist with enquiries from the public if so required
To be aware of and abide by all rules, terms and conditions of the company.
To maintain a visible presence.
To monitor C.C.T.V. and liaise with shops and police if required.
Must show flexibility towards other on site duties.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Experience in the provision of security services in a busy environment visited by members of the public.
In order to comply with the Security Industry Act 2001, officers must hold a valid SIA Security Licence and where necessary a Public Space Surveillance Licence.
Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
Honest and reliable work ethic.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to work patterns and work weekends/evenings as part of normal shift patterns.
Willingness to undertake additional training and career development.
Well presented.
Accurate record keeping with good attention to detail.
Flexibility towards other on-site duties.
Salary
£26,256 per year or £10.52 p.h.
