Releasing Potential is a registered charity and an independent special school, for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, established in 2017 and is growing.


Responsibilities will include working effectively with the chair of governors, headteacher and other governors to secure the continuity of governing board business.

An understanding of confidentiality is essential for this role.


Tasks include the preparation and circulation of papers, attendance at meetings (including some evenings) and minute taking; maintaining a business calendar, including policy reviews.

Everyone who works at Releasing Potential has responsibility for promoting safeguarding and welfare of children.


Commitment to Safeguarding Children:


  • To ensure awareness of School policy and procedures re Child Protection and Safeguarding
  • To be aware of the signs and symptoms of abuse by participating in regular training
  • To report all causes for concern to the Safeguarding Lead
  • To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children RP works with
