This role is full time, working Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm ideally.Accounts Assistant Duties:
- Experience of CIS accounting including returns to HMRC
- Inputting purchase invoices and credit notes to Xero Accounts software with a high level of accuracy and diligence
- Reconciling supplier statements to Xero Accounts Supplier Ledgers
- Correcting errors on Xero Accounts software using transaction reversal
- Communicating with suppliers in order to deal with queries arising quickly and efficiently
- Working closely with the Finance Manager to resolve any queries
- Posting transactions from bank statements to Xero Accounts software; including bank payments, transfers, supplier payments and bank receipts
- Monitoring and reconciling POS software for a retail outlet
- Posting and reconciling transactions from credit card statements to Xero Accounts software
- Contact and liaising with project personnel for authorisation of invoices
- To ensure that all invoices or expense requests are correctly calculated, approved and coded
- Accounts Mailbox monitoring
- Ensure invoices and expense claims comply with the expense policies
- Maintain adequate records of proforma invoices issued and chase up associated invoices
- Ensure prompt filing of supplier invoices
- To produce Payment & BACS Report for the Finance Manager before processing payment to Bank
- Ensure adherence to monthend deadlines
Experience:
- Xero experience required
- Experienced Accounts Assistant
- Intermediary Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritise own workload
Education:
- QBE with recognised formal accountancy training
- Minimum of 5 GCSE's (A-C) including English & Maths
- AAT qualified
