any European location close to an Emerson office and an international airport (#LI-Remote)


We are looking for a
Connectivity Solutions Project Lead who will use their wide knowledge of project execution along with deep understanding of client industries to deliver infrastructure solutions for our customers.

This role will involve frequent European travel to customer sites, including longer durations when involved in site deployment activities on a project and working across the project lifecycle.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Support the Solutions Architect and Project Manager in developing project execution and test strategies
  • Be responsible for wireless and connectivity surveys at customer facilities across Europe
  • Support the Project Manager to develop the project schedule, mitigate project risks and manage scope changes
  • Take ownership of the full project delivery and be the focal point for customers on technical matters
  • Support the management of suppliers or subcontractors
  • Functionally manage and mentor a team of project engineers located across Europe and in India

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Relevant Engineering degree, preferably at Master's level (e.g. Instrumentation control, Process automation or similar)
  • Strong experience in IT infrastructure or process automation project execution with highlevel technical knowledge of information technology (IT), networking, wireless technologies, cyber security, cloud computing, virtualization, programming software, operating systems, patch management, backup and recovery
  • Extensive experience with direct client contacts and managing expectations
  • Language skills with proficient English (verbal and written)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (mainly Europe)

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Detailed technical knowledge in three or more specific technology areas (e.g. experience with a DCS system, cybersecurity, digitalization or similar)
  • A member or working towards membership of an appropriate professional institution (e.g. chartered engineering status)
