Operational Risk Associate - Investment Banking - 2+ years

Location - Glasgow 2/3 days a week commutable from surrounding areas - (inc Edinburgh etc)

Role Description
Capco is hiring within Operational Risk to help support and grow a brand new Capco client.


This requires excellent attention to detail and analytical skills and will be attractive to individuals who thrive in high paced, and deadline driven environments.

Your responsibilities will include and not limited to the following;

  • Review of Operational Risk Events originating in Front Office/Corporate areas, providing challenge over root cause/control failures + required control enhancements
  • Production/review of Operational Risk MI for periodic Front Office/Corporate meetings & Legal Entity Committees
  • Attendance/key minute taking for Operational Risk meetings with Front Office/Corporate areas
  • Oversight of numerous Operational Risk processes, e.g. Key Risk Indicator submissions & actions closure
  • Coordination of internal Operational Risk meetings & tracking of followups
  • Involvement in Operational Risk led projects as required

Full and detailed training will be provided.

Skills and Experience

Experienced Hires:


  • Proven and demonstrated experience in an Investment Bank working in a trading environment.
  • Experience in either Risk & Control or Operational Risk
  • Product experience or regulatory knowledge is beneficial
