Experienced Support Staff - Young People (12 to 18 years), Residential Setting

Lisburn

The Role.


Jark Belfast are delighted to be working alongside their long-term Health and Social Care Client on the recruitment of additional support staff to provide care for young people, aged 12 to 18 years, who may have a mental health condition(s), learning difficulties, and/ or highly challenging, complex behaviours as a result of issues such as addictions, bullying, trauma, abuse, self-harm and exploitation.


There are a number of ongoing, zero-hour contract positions available, typically working nights from 10pm to 8am the following morning (night shift and weekends pay a higher hourly rate in line with Trust payscales).

As we are an Agency, we work with our staff on their availability and provide them with shifts where and when suits.

Additional work can be offered, but is not compulsory, giving our staff complete control and flexibility over how often they work.


The Person.
You
must have at least 6 months' experience to be considered for this role, no exceptions. Voluntary work and placements can be classed as relevant experience providing a reference can be supplied.


You will work as part of a dedicated and loyal team, providing ongoing practical and emotional support to the young people who reside in the home.

You will be of a caring and inspiring nature, however, due to the nature of the role, you will need to adopt patience and resilience.


Successful applicants will have the Right to Work in Northern Ireland, be required to complete an Enhanced AccessNI check and be NISCC registered before commencing employment.

A Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is preferred, but not always necessary.
